    Indestructable works great,, love it! VERY waterproof Takes a licking and keeps on ticking! I have it on my Carolina Skiff. It gets rained on weekly, salt spray (including the front, back, top, wires…everything) it does great great. It transmits very far, tested and loud and clear every time. it gets no engine noise interferance ever. I get multiple weather channels in my area. 1 reviewer said it didnt have an external speaker option.     Great low cost, full feature VHF radio In lieu of buying a hand held radio for my little Boston Whaler 13 Sport, I wanted something with more power for when I am out on Lake Michigan. Given the cost, this seemed to fit the bill for my needs. It’s JIS8 submersible so I don’t have any concerns over this getting wet. Controls are very legible and intuitive. I have this hooked to a Tram 1600-HC VHF antenna. I have not been able to test the transmit functions yet but I pick up the weather channels very well. The speaker is plenty…

    Good product Installed it to replace a very old radio on my 17′ fish and ski. Picks up all the weathe channels, easy to install. Finally was out in the local channels and had the occasion to use it to communicate with some passing barges, and it works fine with no complaints. The only issues I foresee is the mic clip. On the back of the mic it’s a plastic clip to slide into the metal holder, could easily break off, but time will tell. Overall seems to be a very good product. Definetly need an antenna with…
